About me
Hello! My name is Michelle Evans and I own and run Harbinger Candle Co. I make pure beeswax candles in small batches in Chimacum, Washington.
The candles that I create are inspired by the ever changing seasons as well as past traditional and historic significance. I make candles in many molds but I also make a variety of traditional hand- dipped taper candles. These traditional taper candles were the first type of candle that I made, all while on a school trip as a child. I have loved creating candles again as an adult and take great pleasure in the joy they bring to those who receive or seek them.
The candles I make are 100% natural beeswax, sustainably sourced and environmentally friendly. I am greatly inspired by the natural world and seasonal change. The flow from season to season is beautiful and something to not only cherish, but to behold.
Bees and many other beneficial insects are a very critical part of our world’s natural flow of pollination and biodiversity. Beeswax is an all around marvel with it’s benefits in not only candles but, cosmetics, metal casting, industrial technology, and as a natural reusable element in sustainable food storage.
